Chief Vet Tech Michael Jennings with Dog RoccoMichael earned his Associate's degree in Computer Science from the University of Hartford. He started at High Ridge Animal Hospital while still in high school and has been a full time employee here for over 30 years. Michael was drawn to the veterinary world for his love of animals. He has become, at this point, an irreplaceable part of the team. Not only does he have years of experience in the veterinary field, but he is also the hospital's main IT man. Without him, we would surely be lost in a sea of crashing computer systems. If Michael can't fix it, we know we are in trouble.

In his spare time, Michael enjoys golfing, softball, basketball, and skiing. He shares his home with his wife and two daughters as well as his cat, Smokey, and his dog, Rocco.

Vet Tech Missy Guccione with Dog MacKenzieMissy earned her degree in Pathobiology at the University of Connecticut. She then continued on to Purdue University to earn her degree in Veterinary Technology and became a licensed veterinary technician. Missy specializes in teaching new puppy owners proper care for their growing furry family member and exotic husbandry and behavior. Her favorite thing about veterinary medicine is being there for clients and their pets throughout their lifetime. She has watched many of them grow up from puppies and kittens.

Missy's family is her top priority in her life so she spends as much time as possible with her husband, John, and son, Connor. And let's not forget her three dogs — Buddy, Percy and Mackenzie, as well as her cat, Roxie, bird, Ohno, guinea pig, Skywalker, and her snake, Babs. In what spare time she has left, she bowls, golfs, scuba dives, plays softball, and spends time on the side lines watching Connor's sporting events.

Vet Tech Michelle Miller with Dog PumaMichelle is a 2008 graduate of Tufts University with a BS degree in Biology. Her hope is to continue her education to pursue her degree in veterinary medicine. She has been a veterinary technician since 2009 and came to us in 2011. Michelle splits her time at work in the exam rooms as well as working as an anesthetic technician on surgical days. She oversees our weight loss program for our patients. Michelle shares her home with her three dogs — Puma, Mumu, and Lucy.

Vet Assistant Nicole Czelada with Kitten CaraNicole is our newest member at High Ridge Animal Hospital. She joined us after finishing the Veterinary Assistant program at Norwalk Community College. She was drawn into veterinary medicine because of her love of animals. While completing her clinic hours for the Veterinary Assistant program, she fell in love with a malnourished kitten who desperately needed love, food and a new home. Nicole is now the proud owner of a healthy juvenile kitten, Cara!

Nicole is a lifelong resident of Stamford. She is also a quadruplet and enjoys spending time with her siblings. Her hobbies include rock climbing and snowboarding.

Kennel Assitant Jessica Rodriguez with Dog and CatJessica has been with High Ridge Animal Hospital for 5 years as a kennel assistant as well as a veterinary assistant. She has spent a lot of time at animal hospitals in the past and is a great asset in all that she does. Jessica is also our Spanish translator at the clinic and does an amazing job translating some very difficult situations for the clients and the doctors.

Jessica is the mom of two children, Brian and Nicole. She also shares her home with her dog, Chloe, and cat, Azrael.

Veterinary Assistant Rachel with CatRachel is a veterinary assistant and receptionist at High Ridge Animal Hospital. She graduated from the Stamford Agriscience Program, where she studied Animal Science. Previously, Rachel worked as a curator at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center on Heckscher Farm as well as a Feline Kennel Associate at PAWS of Norwalk.

Rachel has loved animals from a young age starting with her first cat Timmy. She now owns four cats, a sugar glider and two goats. In her free time, she enjoys working on classic trucks with her family and enjoys spending time outside.

Kennel Assistant Eddie LeivaEddie has been with us since 2008 as the overseer of the kennel and grooming area. He adores all of the dogs in his care and treats them as his own. He is the first one to notice something "off" with his patients and this is why the dogs run to greet him when they get dropped off for their vacation at High Ridge Animal Hospital.
